Aviva is now Athene! We have reached an important milestone in the integration of our companies and the evolution of the Athene USA* brand. Today Aviva Life and Annuity Company officially begins the process of changing its name to Athene Annuity and Life Company by launching marketing materials and web content that have been rebranded from Aviva to Athene. Its distribution partners will now be able to bring the Athene name to their customers. Athene Annuity and Life Company (formerly Aviva Life and Annuity Company) agents will be receiving a special kit this week that will include a welcome letter from Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Chris Grady, as well as updated product and agent incentive material. This is an exciting step forward in a process that began with the acquisition of Aviva USA in October 2013. While we continue to make rapid progress toward the full integration of our companies and product portfolio, today's announcement does not affect your relationship with Athene Annuity & Life Assurance Company ("Athene Annuity") or the sale and marketing of Athene Annuity products. Your current contract with Athene Annuity remains in place, and you should continue to visit our Sales Resource Center for up-to-date information on your Athene Annuity business.
