GUARANTEED MINIMUM INCOME BENEFIT FACTORS INCREASED FOR CONTRACT YEARS 1-10 The Future Income Solutions series now has increased guaranteed minimum income benefit factors throughout the surrender charge period. The improved rates are as follows: The new enhanced guaranteed minimums will apply to all Index Bonus 115 and Secure Bonus 115 applications submitted, including those issued on or after March 17, 2010. Washington Guaranteed Destinations Is Changing We are responding to changes in the competitive product landscape in the state of Washington with a reconfiguration of our offering there. Commissions at the writing agent level will increase by 2%. The premium bonus will decrease by 2% (from 8% to 6%). Interest rates will be communicated in the 5/14 weekly announcement, online forms and marketing materials will be updated this same date and new printed stock will be available for order. The last day on which we will accept applications for the old configuration of the WA-GD (8% premium bonus) is Monday, 05/17/2010. Pending applications received on or before Monday, 05/17/2010, with premiums received later, will be issued under the older configuration. The first issue date for the new product configuration will be Wednesday, 05/26/2010. Product Changes in the State of Texas Forethought will be ready for business in Texas on June 1, 2010, with a familiar, competitive product suite that meets all regulatory requirements, albeit at a gently reduced (1%) commission from current levels. Product specifics, revised materials, and other details to follow in the coming two weeks. 50 BPS Commission Bonus Rates Extended Back in November of 2009 we announced a 50 bps commission increase to Income 125, Secure Income 125, Guaranteed Destinations for WA and NV, Destination Income for WA and Destination Income 15 for OR. That increase will be extended June 28, 2010. (Commission bonuses on all applications received in the home office by June 28, 2010 and issued on June 30, 2010. All transfer/rollover applications received by June 28, 2010 must be issued by August 31, 2010.) |
