Please note the S&P 500 18-month point-to-point strategy is not available in New Jersey.   As a reminder, the American Legend II is retired in states where the American Legend III is available. We will continue to accept order tickets for American Legend II New Jersey sales through April 4, 2014. In order to receive the previous rate, funds must be received by Thursday, March 20. Aviva Changing Name, Rebrands to Athene

Aviva is now Athene! We have reached an important milestone in the integration of our companies and the evolution of the Athene USA* brand. Today Aviva Life and Annuity Company officially begins the process of changing its name to Athene Annuity and Life Company by launching marketing materials and web content that have been rebranded from Aviva to Athene. Its distribution partners will now be able to bring the Athene name to their customers. Athene Annuity and Life Company (formerly Aviva Life and Annuity Company) agents will be receiving a special kit this week that will include a welcome letter from Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Chris Grady, as well as updated product and agent incentive material. This is an exciting step forward in a process that began with the acquisition of Aviva USA in October 2013. While we continue to make rapid progress toward the full integration of our companies and product portfolio, today's announcement does not affect your relationship with Athene Annuity & Life Assurance Company ("Athene Annuity") or the sale and marketing of Athene Annuity products. Important Reminder: New Annuity Application and Financial Needs Analysis The EquiTrust Annuity Application and Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) forms have been revised and improved. The new application (dated 5-13) and FNA (dated 1-14) forms are available now on the EquiTrust website, and are included in form packets produced on AppBuilder. The new versions may be used now; the new and old versions of both forms will be accepted until April 1. After April 1 the old versions will not be accepted. Replace printed application packets at your earliest convenience. Why the changes? Since our last modification to the Application in 2006, we've observed areas of recurring errors. The improvements are intended to enhance the simplicity of these forms and minimize processing delays. Improvements to the Application include:      • Agent signature is now required only once      • More flexibility to include beneficiary information      • Clearer questions regarding replacements Improvements to the FNA form include:      • Improved form layout for improved readability      • Removed section for client initials on page 1      • Question-sequence reordered for improved flow To build a new app packet which includes the new Application and FNA, click here.
