Best Upgrades Rating to B++ (Good) - Safe Anchor Market Guarantee Annuity Tip     GENERAL INFORMATION     Safe Harbor and Safe Haven Rate Increase - Effective November 1, 2017   We are excited to announce that our Safe Harbor and Safe Haven crediting rates for all guarantee periods will increase by 10 bps effective November 1, 2017! To view our updated rates, please download a copy of the current Rate Sheet from our website or by following the link below.    Annuity Rate Sheet - Effective 11/01/2017 These new rates will be applied to all contracts issued on or after 11/01/2017 regardless of the date the application was received.   A.M. Best Upgrades Rating - B++ (Good)   On October 3, 2017, A.M. Best upgraded the Financial Strength Rating from B+ (Good) to B++ (Good) with a Stable Outlook for Atlantic Coast Life.    "The rating upgrades of ACLI recognize the improved balance sheet and operating profile trends over the past several years, as well as the enhanced financial flexibility, operating synergies and management expertise derived as part of its affiliation with the A-CAP group. The ratings recognize improved capitalization, significant distribution expansion and premium growth in core business lines, as well as additional capital support in the near term from A-CAP to support anticipated strong business growth." This week at Sentinel Security Life:   What's New? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - California Personal Choice Annuity Changes  - New Sentinel Website - Personal Choice Plus+ Available in CA & RI - Summit Bonus Annuity Available in More States - HIP 2.0 in DE, IN, and KY - 10/23/17  - California Med Supp Forms Updated - 10/15/17 - Sentinel Success Summit     Breaking News!   California Personal Choice Annuity Changes - Effective Immediately As we have previously announced, all new California Personal Choice Annuity applications for policy holders age 65+ were required to purchase the Death Benefit Rider, resulting in a 35 basis point reduction to the crediting rate.    Now, in order to comply with and minimize the cost of the new regulation, we will be adding the Death Benefit Rider to ALL Personal Choice applications. Subsequently, the crediting rate will be no longer be reduced by 35 basis points for policy holders age 65+; instead it will be reduced by 10 basis points to accommodate the inclusion of the Death Benefit Rider on all policies.    What this means for you: All new business must use the updated application packet which includes the Death Benefit Rider as part of the base policy as well as an updated disclosure form. The application packet is available on our Agent Portal. We will accept the old application until 10/31/2017. Policies issued between 1/01/2016 and 10/31/2017 will have the Death Benefit Rider added to all issue ages 65+ without any change to their crediting rate.
