MYGA Rates Rise in October; Interest Crediting Changes

October 2012 Good news! We've increased new money rates on our ATHENE MaxRate and ATHENE 7MYG multi-year guarantee annuities by up to 20 basis points for the month of October.   You'll also notice that we've adopted a level interest crediting method for ATHENE MaxRate as well as the fixed account on our index products. Starting October 1, we are discontinuing first year rate enhancements on these products in favor of a single competitive rate for the entire guarantee period. Please note that ATHENE 7 MYG is continues to offer a higher first year rate.   A single guaranteed rate eliminates the need to discuss effective yields when reviewing an annuity's performance. And as you can see from these October rates, our performance is strong.
